Dell EMC introduces latest all-flash storage solutions to Taiwan

Dell EMC launched its latest full-flash storage products and other cloud data center solutions, such as software-defined storage, data protection and hyper-converged infrastructure in Taiwan, with the goal of providing government and private sector solutions and services integrals that range from cutting-edge computing. to the central data centers

Among them are the SC and Unity all-flash storage products, with the SC series introduced in Taiwan for the first time and the Unity series with the latest software version 4.3. In addition, Dell EMC also introduced its Future-proof Storage Loyalty Program, which allows customers to charge 20% of their workloads to Dell's public cloud and offer them a 3-year warranty for satisfactory use.

As the world's largest provider of data center storage systems in terms of market share, Dell EMC is actively advancing with deployments in full-flash storage devices, which are expected to show impressive sales growth, Peter Hanna, VP of Storage and Specialties of Dell EMC unit in Greater China, said at a recent product launch event.

For the time being, Hanna revealed, up to 80-90% of high-end data centers have adopted full-flash storage systems, compared to a corresponding 30-40% for mid-range data centers. He expects the latter's relationship to continue to rise steadily to drive sales growth in the company's fully flash storage systems.

HCI storage products

He also noted that only 20-30% of Dell EMC customers have adopted their hyperconverged infrastructure storage (HCI) products, and most customers continue to adopt traditional infrastructures for their private cloud networks. Hanna said that HCIs are easy to install but with little flexibility, but your company can offer both HCI and the traditional infrastructure storage products that customers need.

Hanna cited IDC statistics that indicate that the demand for HCI storage products in the Greater China market now reaches only 15% of total market demand for storage systems, and the ratio is expected to double to 30. % in four years. He went on to say that Dell EMC estimated that its sales of HCI storage solutions would increase to US $ 1.4 billion four years later from the current level of US $ 400 million.

He highlighted that Dell EMC will provide business customers with advanced solutions and professional consulting to help them implement mixed clouds, native cloud applications and big data analysis to support their data center updates and business model transformations.

In addition, driven by state-of-the-art computing and big data, the volume of data is increasing exponentially to drive the increased demand for software-defined HCI storage products. As a result, Dell EMC will continue to launch new products to lead the global storage sector by deepening technological innovations, Hanna said.
